For seven years, Heidi Roe has worked as an Industrial
Specialist in the Maintenance Management Center at the Marine Corps Logistics
Base.
“The
thing that excites me the most about what I do is when I can negotiate and portray our local Marine Depot
Maintenance Command as the most capable repair facility amongst all of the
other Department of Defense depot candidates,” says the mother of two
daughters, Kirstin and Renee. When the local MDMC wins the nomination to be the
designated source of repair for a particular weapon system, that’s the piece de
resistance, she says.
“Not
only does it keep our local workforce strong at the base, but it also instills
confidence among our Marine warfighters, knowing they are getting the best
quality product from their own Marine depot.”
A
health enthusiast and native of the San Francisco Bay area, Heidi recently
marked 30 years of marriage to her husband, Richard. In celebration, they’re
planning a Riverboat Cruise in Europe.
Hopefully, there will be peanut butter on board.
“I absolutely
love, love, love peanut butter,” she admits.
Heidi’s faith, family, living a healthy lifestyle, and practicing yoga
round out her list of passions.
