A former airline manager, Jud Savelle has traveled to five continents and more than 20 countries.
His favorite place of all?
It’s no contest: The 229.
“Right now, I don’t want to live anywhere but in Albany, Georgia,” the Class of 2012 Leadership Albany graduate says.
Savelle and his wife, Jenny, purchased Bishop Clean Care from Savelle’s mother in 2010. The company provides commercial janitorial, disaster restoration and carpet cleaning services.
A Six Sigma Black Belt-certified industrial engineer-turned-entrepreneur, Savelle also has experience in telecommunications and transportation logistics; off the job, he enjoys running, biking and playing guitar.
Savelle, a LA Class of 2012 graduate, says that while he particularly enjoyed riding in a Marine Corp light armored vehicle, participating in Leadership Albany vastly increased his appreciation for the community and its resources.
Perhaps more importantly, he says, he discovered how to use his own abilities to stimulate success in the community.
“I believe Leadership Albany is fulfilling a tremendous need in our community to acquaint emerging and established leaders with Albany’s strengths and weaknesses,” he says.
Jud and Jenny Savelle have three young children.
